When you visit our club please sign in using the Check In Qld app, use the hand sanitizers provided, observe our signage, practice social distancing and enjoy your day. The twin towns of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands are situated 15Km south of Gladstone in central Queensland at the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

Our club sits alongside the Boyne river in an area of open parkland that includes local sporting fields and a golf club. The club boasts a magnificent Tifdwarf green which is recognised as the best grass playing surface in the district. Our air-conditioned clubhouse has a fully licensed bar and can comfortably accommodate patrons for social events.

Our History
Report
The Country Club was made up of a number of clubs and space became an increasingly pressing issue. So it was only a matter of time before the members of the Boyne Tannum Bowls Club decided to branch out and, in 1995, took a bold step into the future. They raised the funds, volunteered time and materials and collectively put in a huge amount of effort to construct the clubhouse that is still in use to this day.
Membership
Report
Unlike many bowls clubs across the country where membership numbers are in decline, we are delighted to be able to say that our numbers are on the rise. Friendship brings its own rewards. If you are a current bowler who is looking for a change of club, whether you are local, are already a registered bowler in Queensland or are moving from interstate, we are here to help make your transition as seamless as possible.
Honours
Report
As most bowlers will tell you, winning a Club Championship at any level is never easy. Boyne Tannum Bowls Club recognises the effort and commitment of our members in achieving success at Club, District and Zone levels by maintaining our Honour Boards in our clubhouse.

Doing this means that our current generation of members can see the successes of those that have gone before, and can try to get their names on the boards, so that the generation that follows will also remember them. Our records go back to 1983, which was the foundation year of the club.
Bowls
Report
Our men play every Saturday at 13.00, though many are seen most days having a roll-up, to hone their skills. Considering that we are a small, one-green club we have many members who have gone on to represent us at Port Curtis District, State and National competition levels. The men always play competitive bowls, but with great spirit and plenty of banter, both on and off the green.
What’s on

If your organisation wants to have a social session of Barefoot Bowls we are always happy to help you out. Friday nights are the most popular. Please get in touch to arrange. Our regular weekly Bingo session is on a Thursday morning, with great cash prizes and jackpots. Friday nights are great social nights at the club and generally run from 17.00 'til late.
