Captain Moxham was a Graduate of the No. 1 Course Airline Pilot Training Scheme, Qantas (forerunner of Cadet Scheme). He served 27 years with Qantas, and upon retiring in 1988 he held the position of Senior Check Captain B747 and Master Navigator. His flight experience was on the L1049, DC-3, DC-4, L188C, B707 and B747.
