Brighter Access supports people with disability to have choice, opportunity, inclusion and acceptance in their community. We take a person-centred approach to our care and ensure everything we do strongly aligns with our vision, mission and values. We are constantly growing, changing and developing our support, and approach to care.

Everyone from support staff, to our wonderful volunteers and participants are part of the Brighter Access family. We grew from family and continue to live the philosophy of our small, homegrown beginnings. We understand that every person and family is unique, and are proud of our ability to provide individualised support.

Brighter Access Ltd, trading as Brighter Access, is a community based, non-government service provider committed to supporting individuals with disability, and their families. Our organisation was established in 1979 by a group of parents who saw the need for mutual support and the necessity of having regular breaks from the responsibility of caring for a family member with disability.

At Brighter Access, we understand the importance of having your own home which is why we provide different housing options to assist in finding the perfect fit for each participant. We offer accessible housing, individual units or shared homes with person-centred supports focused on skill and knowledge building so our participants can live independent, fulfilling lives.

Our Clinical Team strives to enhance the lives of our participants by providing an individualised, person-centred approach to meet the necessary medical requirements of each person. Brighter Access staff benefit from ongoing education from our Clinical Team on how to best support participants in providing best practice outcomes.
Activities of Daily Living

We are committed to offering a variety of opportunities for people with disability to choose, create and be involved in the everyday activities within their community. Community Supports are focused on capacity building to give participants the skills required to live an independent, fulfilling life.
Early Childhood Early Intervention

Our Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) runs from a venue called 'The Cottage' - a safe space designed for and suited to children in Inverell. The Cottage is full of fun and the latest resources to help children engage and learn.

With a team of highly skilled Early Childhood Staff ranging from Educators trained in behaviours, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Early Childhood Workers, you can be sure that you will have everything at hand to help guide you through the early years in a positive environment for your child.Our ECEI focuses on learning through play, life skills, community participation, parent support and social interaction.
