For easy maintenance on leather seats, steering wheels and shifter's, try using Leather wipes. Cleans and protects in one. Although not my own personal go to product, they can be picked up from your locals Coles or Bunnings, for less than half the price of most auto stores. Recommended brands include Oakwood and Hillmark.
Using an electric leaf blower or compressed air is another car drying option to avoid bad contact to any painted surfaces. This also forces remaining water out of any gaps and crevices, helping avoid runs of water down the side of your vehicle after the drying process.
