After many years of working in Shipping Container Logistics and Freight Management, both domestically and internationally from the late 1990's, a friend of the directors approached him about moving interstate.
The move was relocating from Perth, Western Australia to Melbourne, Victoria in 2011. With a fleet of shipping containers on hand in Perth they spoke about packing one of the containers and transporting it via Rail, which he did on a regular basis with other domestic consignments. He also encouraged his friend to obtain several quotes from Interstate Removalists to compare the cost.

One of the most common Container Removal Questions that we get asked is "What Size Container do I need"?. Generally we find that our 20ft container is sufficient to hold the contents of a 3 bedroom household. Sometimes its hard to know how much furniture and household items you have to move, especially if you haven't moved for a period of time. So to make it easier we have included a moving calculator here to work out the volume of your furniture, white goods, boxes and general household items. Generally we find that our 20ft container is sufficient to hold the contents of a 3 bedroom household.

Transporting Your Own Shipping Container

At Australian Container Removals we can arrange transporting your own shipping container, both 20ft and 40ft Nation Wide. If you have a 20ft container to transport interstate we can arrange to collect it via Tilt Tray Truck or Side Loading Truck. We then transport it to the nearest rail point where it will travel Interstate.
Pack Your Own Container – How it Works
Report
We deliver an empty shipping container to your address, you pack your own container at your own pace. You unpack the container, at your own pace, we take the empty container away when you are ready. Our friendly staff have many years of experience with Pack Your Own Containers and we are available to offer self packing advice at any time.
