Melvilles is located on 15 acres of scenic land that backs onto Alligator Creek, while only being a 20 minute drive south of Townsville. Melvilles hosts a variety of functions, parties, weddings and events for all occasions in our large timber Australiana themed building with the opportunity for everyone to experience a taste of the outback/country near the city of Townsville.
We specialise in group functions incorporating our licensed bar, themed meals, and country style entertainment. We also regularly throughout the year, stage large public events such as Rodeos, Car and Bike Shows, Family Days and other unique events which attract thousands of people. Melvilles can be exclusively hired for Corporate Events and Private Functions and Group Activities.

Craig and Ruth Melville are two of the most dedicated people, they are the driving success behind the Melville's family owned business that started in 1986. The Melvilles story all began as a social shed for get togethers and gradually expanded into a family orientated open venue with a (wool barn) shed feel.

Here at Melvilles, our unique Aussie Style Tavern is available for hire for all types of functions, specialising in 18th 21st, 30ths, 40ths, 50ths, 60ths, come to think of it any Birthday Party! Our function venue can cater for 200 guests under roof but many more can be accommodated on our surrounding lawns.
