Carinbundi Respite

Carinbundi is the trading name of Burnett Respite Services Ltd, a community based, not for profit organisation formed in 1994 to provide regular respite to people with a disability aged from birth to 65 years. This care is provided to offer relief from stress for carers and a break for people with disabilities.

As a not-for-profit organisation that supports people in the community with disabilities, Carinbundi relies on generous donations from the community to help support activities for our customers. As an example, your kind donation could help to provide new equipment for activities including indoor games and outdoor sports, promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Carinbundi is committed to providing a professional service to our clients, their families, and carers. We welcome all questions, positive feedback, and complaints - as these help us to improve our services and processes. All feedback received is taken seriously and managed by our processes and policies, many of which are contained in the table below for your information.

Carinbundi's Supported Independent Living (SIL) services provide a safe and supportive home environment for people with a wide range of needs. We have 14 Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses that range from 3-5 people in a unit-complex, to people living on their own.

We support every customer according to their needs - some customers have very high needs and require specialist Behavioural Management Plans and 24-hour support, others require minimal assistance.We ensure customers socialise with people from other houses, and our priority is to ensure everyone is fully involved within the community.

Our respite house is disability friendly and fully accessible. It is suitable for both adults and kid's respite. We have an accessible swimming pool as well as wheelchair vehicles allowing our guests to get out and about and enjoy accessing the community. We have accommodation for people with a disability to stay for a day, overnight, or a weekend.
