Northern Rivers Orthopaedics
Northern Rivers Orthopaedics is a specialist Orthopaedic practice located in Lismore in the Northern Rivers Area of New South Wales. The practice was established by Dr Shane Prodger, an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in surgery of the upper limb, the lower limb, sports and acute orthopaedic conditions.

Shoulder conditions requiring surgery including rotator cuff tears and recurrent shoulder dislocations requiring stabilisation. Dr Shane Prodger and his team are dedicated to the provision of excellence in Orthopaedic care. Each patient is welcomed into the practice and treated with utmost care and compassion when consulting about their condition.

Dr Shane Prodger is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who grew up in the Northern Rivers. After completing his schooling in Lismore he moved to Brisbane where he commenced his University studies. After completing a degree in Physiotherapy and working both in Australia and overseas as a Physiotherapist for a number of years, he returned to the University of Queensland and completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2002.

A Knee Arthroscopy may be considered as a surgical treatment option for those patients experiencing knee pain and/or mechanical symptoms such as clicking or locking of the knee. Patients may require a knee arthroscopy following a diagnosis of a meniscal tear, loose bodies within the joint, cartilage that is worn and frayed, or to investigate unexplained knee pain.
