This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required by workers to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This course is specifically tailored for new parents, groups, or family members wanting to learn first aid management of infants and children. Our Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies.
