Sydney Speech Clinic is a professional, positive and supportive speech pathology and occupational therapy service located in Lane Cove on the lower north shore. We assist children and adults of all ages with speech, language, literacy, learning, social, feeding, attention, self-regulation, fine and gross motor and self-care skills.
With over 20 years of clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist, Catherine has worked both in the UK and Australia with a wide range of client groups experiencing speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties. She has worked across a number of settings including day care centres, preschools, schools, hospitals, specialist rehabilitation centres and community clinics.

Therapy Services

At Sydney Speech Clinic we offer a growing range of therapy services to assist children and their families. Typically children attend the clinic for one to one individualised assessment, diagnosis and therapy with their treating therapist. Parent involvement and home practice is strongly recommended in most cases for best results.
Online Therapy

Sydney Speech Clinic has been providing online therapy services for several years to children and families who live long distances from Sydney. While we love seeing our families at the clinic, in their home, or at their school/daycare, the use of online therapy allows us to extend our services to reach families who may otherwise be unable to access therapy to get the support they need.
Individual Therapy

In most cases assessment and therapy sessions take place in the clinic room with the therapist, child and parent (or caregiver) all present. Both parents are welcome and encouraged to attend so that everyone can understand the therapy process. Siblings are welcome too and can play in the waiting area if required.

Every child's communication profile and therapy needs are different and, therefore, it is essential to tailor the therapy program to your child's individual needs. At Sydney Speech Clinic we believe that there is no 'one size fits all' commercial therapy program. We use our skills and experience to determine which elements of which methods will suit the child best at a particular point in their development and learning.
Additional Therapy Services

Sydney Speech Clinic is periodically able to carry out preschool/primary school screenings. This can be organised at the request of the preschool director or school principal. Speech and language screening is a useful way to assess whether a child needs any help with their speech, language or literacy development.
