Discovery Early Learning Centres

Discovery Early Learning Centres is a Tasmanian family owned and operated organisation with extensive experience in providing high quality education and care programs for children across Tasmania. Our services are located in the surrounding suburbs of Hobart, Launceston, Ulverstone and Burnie. We offer Long Day Care, Preschool programs and Outside School Hours Care including, Before School, After School and Vacation Care.

At Discovery Early Learning Centres, our values of imagine, explore, discover form the foundations of our philosophy. Our philosophy underpins our decisions, policies and daily practice and assists in planning, implementing and evaluating quality experiences for children. It reflects a shared understanding of the role of the service with children, families and the community.

We offer Early Learning and Preschool programs, Outside School Hours Care including, Before School, After School and Vacation Care and a southern Bush Camp program. Our preschool program focuses on the importance of developing life skills in preparation for entering primary school. At Bush Camp children participate in unstructured activities and explore the natural environment.

We believe that all children are successful, competent and capable learners. Our children are provided opportunities to learn and make sense of the world through a play-based curriculum and we aim to instill a desire and curiosity for life long learning.

Belonging, Being and Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework, is an Australian curriculum framework that describes the principles, practices and outcomes that support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.Our services use the framework to guide their interactions and experiences with children.
