Luke Williams, Director of LJW Solar Pty Limited, began in the industry at the age of 16, in his father's solar hot water and space heating business and founded the company LJW Solar in the early eighties. The company has changed a lot, and yet, not much at all, designing and installing reliable photovoltaic and wind energy systems for a wide range of government, business and residential clients.
Luke is accredited as a renewable energy system designer and installer with the CEC [Clean Energy Council] Scheme for industry practitioners, and was one of the founding members of its forerunner, the Solar Energy Industry Association. A Hybrid system is simply a grid connect system that also allows for the storage of the excess power created, and for this power to be stored in a battery system allowing the power to be used when the solar is no longer producing, especially in Peak power tariff periods. There is a growing demand for Hybrid / Grid Storage systems that contain elements of both.
