Professional Diving Services

Professional Diving Services have been in operation for almost forty years supplying commercial diving services predominately throughout Victoria but also interstate and overseas. Professional Divers was founded by Frank Zeigler, initially running from our Portland office established in 1981 in western Victoria.

The mission of Professional Divers Group is to offer a service of excellence in commercial diving, underwater construction, salvage and diving instruction to our customers. In addition, the occupational training division, Smarter Safer Solutions, and Professional Divers Training Academy offers educational and occupational health and safety services of exceptional quality to industry best practice.

Professional Diving Services (PDS) has external accreditation for our Integrated Management System. This includes Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Systems. Professional Diving Services address safety in the workplace as its highest priority. PDS has always been at the forefront of safety related to working in the marine environment and is committed to developing the safest system of work that can be achieved.

Professional Diving Services' diving personnel are sought from a range of diverse backgrounds. Our divers have qualifications and experience in materials, structural and marine engineering, construction, demolition, salvage, OH&S and auditing, drafting and surveying, non-destructive testing, maritime archaeology, marine biology, welding/fabrication and search and rescue.

Over the last 40 years, Professional Diving Services has completed over 200 million dollars' marine construction works at almost every marine asset in Victoria including extensive experience working on major and minor inland water infrastructure facilities.

Our experienced project managers, engineers and dive teams work on projects from initial design through to completion, and we can support any marine construction project with multiple dive crews to meet all project demands.Port of Melbourne projects have included wharf reconstruction projects at Appleton Dock, Gellibrand Pier, Holden Dock, Maribyrnong Dock, Swanson Dock, Station Pier, Webb Dock and Princes Pier.
