Your Community Art Gallery in Bright, Victoria
Since 1982, Bright Art Gallery & Cultural Centre has been a community-driven hub for artistic expression and cultural engagement in Victoria's High Country. Our volunteer-led team of 15 committee members and 300+ members, including Alpine Artists and Youth Members, curates four major seasonal exhibitions annually, featuring works from both established and emerging artists. We provide accessible art workshops, musical performances, and educational programs that cater to all skill levels, fostering creativity through weekly painting sessions and special masterclasses.

Our facilities include three exhibition spaces, a workshop area, and a gift shop offering locally crafted items. Every dollar raised through exhibitions and events directly funds gallery improvements, ensuring we maintain modern display systems and welcoming environments for visitors. With a history spanning over four decades, we continue to celebrate the artistic heritage of the Alpine Shire while nurturing contemporary creative talent.

A surprisingly fresh and spacious art gallery with a beautiful range of paintings in oil, acrylic, water colour and photographs. There are also a few ceramic pieces that are commendable and also for sale. The winter landscapes poignantly reflect the current season. There is a lift to take visitors to the smaller upstairs gallery. Toilet is available for visitors. Entry is by donations.

A very beautiful rural art gallery. Not highly conceptual but many skillfully made art works. I've never seen such an incredible display of pastel paintings anywhere before.

Secluded location but large viewing space with a fantastic exhibition of local and national artists. The Bright art show is reputedly the longest running in Victoria. Nominal entrance charge and enthralling experience.
