
Maria Costa loves children and they love her. Maria has been working with Rachels place for over a year and has a long history with children. She is incredibly warm and fun and the children benefit from her love of early childhood learning and attention to detail. Maria is from Brasil and was a Ballarina for many years.
She is qualified to teach children Ballet and runs play based dance classes at Rachels Place as well as running our Junior Kindy program. Rachel adores children and believes that they make life playful, fun and joyful. Connecting and enjoying life with children and their families is one of her favourite things to do.

Drawing on the expertise and diverse range of ideas represented in the west end community and the broader early childhood sector we have a variety of one off talks, workshops, parent support groups and parenting courses available throughout the year. Talks about children's development, Nurturing the parent-child connection, understanding your children's feelings, your child and transitions, your child and school and many more.

Rachels place uses both the Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG), National Quality Standards, United Nations Rights of the Child and Code of Ethics in conjunction with our philosophy to develop a community based on quality outcomes.

Come and visit to experience how we provide education and care and see first hand where your child will be. We will support you to come up with strategies to settle your child into Rachel's Place. At your visit we will provide you with an enrolment pack and discuss your care and education requirements.
Family Involvement

We want Rachel's Place to feel like your place. As such we have an open door policy meaning that you can come and hang out anytime with your child and join in the program. Reading newsletters, noticeboards, taking an interest in displays of our exploration, discussing and contributing ideas are everyday ways of getting involved.
