Joadja Estate Vineyard & Winery in Berrima
Established in 1983, Joadja Estate holds the distinction of being the Southern Highlands' oldest vineyard and winery. Our journey began when Kim Moginie and Francis McCormack planted the first vines, laying the foundation for a legacy of quality winemaking. In 2016, Siobhan Maloy, Matt Toomey, and Siobhan's parents, Maureen and Paul Maloy, took ownership, continuing our commitment to crafting premium wines. We specialise in producing a diverse range of varietals, including Sparkling Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Reserve Chardonnay, all reflecting the unique terroir of our region. Our cellar door offers tastings of our award-winning wines, complemented by a welcoming atmosphere that invites visitors to experience our heritage firsthand. The De-Vine Club provides members with exclusive benefits, including discounts and invitations to special events, fostering a community of wine enthusiasts. Our operations are guided by a dedication to sustainability, ensuring the preservation of our land for future generations. With decades of combined experience, our team combines traditional techniques with modern innovation to deliver wines of exceptional character. We prioritise transparency and quality in every bottle, adhering to rigorous production standards that reflect our deep respect for viticulture. We have been to Joadja Estate several times and always enjoy their wines. Yesterday, we made a booking for a group with 8 adults and 5 friends. We loved the wine and the kids had an amazing time playing together in the back garden. Really a fun, family experience. And, the owners are such lovely people and very accomodating. We brounght home some of the rose, dessert wines, and even more.
And, they are very covid-safe. Open doors, windows, outdoors, masks adhered to, check-ins. Lots of room to yourself and safety precautions. Really appreciated that. There is even a Vietnamese food truck. It

A boutique family run winery. Great wine (particularly the reds and fortified wines) and better service for wine tasting than the larger wineries. If you're going to one winery in the region for tasting, suggest it's this one. The owner was very pro-Adelaide, so gets bonus points for that too.

The staff there were super friendly and generous, wine tasting experience was excellent, less commercial touch like those bigger wineries, high-quality wines and well priced.

Beautiful, laid-back cosy winery not far from Bowral/Berrima.
Felt a better fit for us than some of the other wineries we saw that seemed deliberately marketed towards affluent and insta types. We were run through a tasting by the owner, Matthew - he knew his stuff, gave us appropriate space to talk between ourselves, but was also great company at the same time. Definitely plan to head back
