Mr David Booth is a senior and very experienced orthopaedic surgeon who offers a comprehensive lower and upper limb orthopaedic service in elective, trauma and sports medicine. Mr Booth trained in Melbourne, Brisbane, Europe and the USA and returned to practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He comes from a long line of medical practitioners.

Your appointment with Mr Booth will take place at either of his consulting rooms in Box Hill or Wantirna. Telehealth consultations are also available. Mr Booth also offers consultations with uninsured patients for the purpose of their diagnosis and treatment plan. Face to face consultations attract a fee which is reimbursed, in part from Medicare.
Medico Legal Consultation

Medico legal reports are required for a variety of reasons including insurance matters, workers compensation claims, motor vehicle accidents, income protection, life insurance, pre-employment medicals and legal proceedings. Mr Booth is an independent medico legal examiner.
He is qualified for impairment assessment using the American Medical Association guides on the evaluation of permanent impairment (4th edition) and other prescribed methods as applied to relevant Victorian legislation.At your appointment, Mr Booth will do a full patient examination, review any supporting documentation, clinical notes and x-rays that you bring and then write a report which will be sent through to the requesting legal party.

Yes, you will need to obtain a referral from your GP (or specialist) prior to seeing Mr Booth. Referrals from your GP or medical specialist will allow you to claim the Medicare rebate for the consultation. Are my appointment consultations covered by Medicare or by my private health insurance fund? Upon payment, you will be given a receipt so that you can claim part of the fee back from Medicare.
