Dr David Bachmayer graduated as a dentist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1979 (cum laude). He practiced General Dentistry for three years prior to accepting an offer to study orthodontics. In 1985, he graduated as an orthodontist from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he received a Diploma in Orthodontics and a Master of Science.
