How do I encourage students to practice? My answer is: Make it fun! I do my best to make sure that every lesson is fun and helps you or your child get the most out of our lessons! Beginning with piano at age 7, I have spent years on my skills. It would be a pleasure to help you or your child learn an instrument, Composing & Arranging, Musical Theory, Rhythm and much more.
My musical interests began early, learning to play the piano at age 7. At 13, I picked up the trumpet, quickly developing a love for the instrument. Beyond High School I pursued the trumpet more seriously, completing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide. Following this, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Music Education.

John Hartford once said, "The best way to express rhythm is (through) music." Studying under great teachers at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide, gave me a solid foundation for all aspects of Jazz Music. Taking a weekly Rhythm Class for 2 straight years ingrained in me a strong sense of timing, and an appreciation of rhythm.

Because of my background and training in performance, I am able to teach the skills necessary to take your music to the next level. I can teach in performance, instrument training and much more. We will look at what is needed to engage and entertain an audience. Live performance events will be made available.
