Services
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists assess and treat spinal, joint, and muscle conditions using manual therapy techniques. We combine joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage, and exercise prescription to address acute injuries and chronic pain. Patients receive personalised treatment plans focusing on restoring mobility and preventing future issues through biomechanical correction.
Clinical Exercise Programs
Supervised exercise sessions improve core strength, flexibility, and functional movement. Tailored programs address postural issues, sports injuries, and postnatal recovery. Our physiotherapists guide patients through mat and equipment-based exercises to enhance stability and prevent re-injury while accommodating individual ability levels.
Women's Health Physiotherapy
Specialised care for pregnancy-related musculoskeletal changes and pelvic floor dysfunction. Treatment addresses prenatal/postnatal concerns, pelvic pain, and continence issues. Our certified practitioners use evidence-based techniques to improve pelvic stability and functional capacity through targeted exercise programs.
Sports Injury Treatment
Comprehensive management of sports-related injuries combines manual therapy with sport-specific rehabilitation. We treat acute injuries and chronic overuse conditions while developing return-to-play protocols. Treatment integrates strength training and movement pattern correction to optimise athletic performance and prevent recurrence.
Clinical Pilates
Instructor-led Pilates sessions focus on core stability, posture correction, and movement efficiency. Small group classes use mat and equipment-based exercises to improve body awareness and muscular control. Programs are adapted for injury rehabilitation, postural retraining, and general fitness enhancement.

A first class practice. Excellent service, helpful, friendly, effective treatment. Would recommend any of the several physiotherapists I have seen after injury and for Pilates classes. Also commend the reception staff who are friendly welcoming and helpful.

I have been going to Ashburton Physiotherapy and Pilates for over 5 years. After a bad experience with a Chiropractor I went and saw Darren. He was exceptionally good at what he does and extremely professional. I recently twisted my ankle, very badly and Darren helped me treat the injury. He gave me great advice that helped speed up my recovery and I am now back at the gym 5 days a week after only 4 weeks of injury. If you have any doubts about which physiotherapist to choose in the Ashburton area I highly recommend Darren and his team. It is nice to have some good old fashioned quality service
