About Us
Report
Ballina Optometry had its beginnings as Chris Doe Optometrist in 1979 as an independent owner operator practice, the first optometry practice in Ballina. Nicola Sawyer joined the practice in 1993 and took on ownership in 2011 with a name change to Ballina Optometry.
We sponsor local organisations where possible as part of our commitment to the community and are a member of the Ballina Chamber of Commerce, which enables us to both have support as a local business but also to have a contributing voice over local matters that count.

The Eye Exam
Report
A comprehensive eye exam involves modern technology to provide you with the best eyecare possible. No referral is needed to see us, just an appointment. Current spectacles, sunglasses and Contact Lenses (wear them in if it is a CL related visit). Medicare Card, Department of Veterans' Affairs Card (if relevant), Private Health Insurance Card if you have "extras" cover.
Children’s Vision
Report
These rarely threaten a child's sight but they can prevent their development and can interfere with learning, inhibit sport participation, or create general frustration. Many children's vision problems cannot be easily detected by parents or teachers and are often mistaken for other problems, especially as children try to adapt to their vision problem without knowing they could see better.
