Services
Custom Framing
We create bespoke frames tailored to your artworks style and your spaces aesthetic. Our options include natural wood, contemporary metal, and sustainable materials, ensuring durability and visual appeal. Clients receive expert guidance to select frames that protect and highlight their cherished pieces.
Canvas Stretching
Our canvas stretching service ensures linen, silk, and fabric artworks remain taut and wrinkle-free. We use premium materials to mount and frame canvases securely, preserving their integrity while enhancing presentation. This service is ideal for painters and collectors seeking long-term display solutions.
Sporting Memorabilia Framing
We specialise in framing jerseys, cricket bats, and other sports items to protect them from damage. UV-protective glass and acid-free mats prevent fading, ensuring memorabilia stays vibrant. Clients gain a polished display that safeguards sentimental and collectible items.
Matting and Glass Options
Our high-quality matting and glass options add depth and clarity to framed pieces. Acid-free mats prevent discolouration, while UV-filtering glass shields against sunlight damage. These upgrades enhance visual impact and prolong the lifespan of delicate artworks and photographs.
Large Wall Art Framing
We frame oversized artworks with reinforced materials to ensure structural stability. Custom designs complement large-scale pieces, balancing aesthetics and durability. This service caters to galleries, businesses, and homeowners displaying statement art in residential or commercial spaces.

We would highly recommend Mermaid Picture Framing. Michael took his time and advised us the best options for our canvas painting and the end result was a beautiful framed picture at a very reasonable price. Thank you so much

I have had over 15 paintings streched and or framed with and without glass, by this picture framer over the last 5 years. I am impressed by his can do attitude and nothing is too much trouble for him. His prices are very competitive and the quality of his workmanship is excellent. I have never thought of going anywhere else in 5 years.

I am more than pleased to advise artists to use this service for picture and art framing. As an graphic and fine art senior artist I was pleasantly surprised with quality and a price I got here by framing my art for years. Thank You Michael, Cheers

I have been dealing with Ian, the previous owner of Mermaid Picture Framing for a number of years and when Michael, the current owner bought the business, I continued using his services up until last week. The only reason I used his services all this time is because it was convenient. For the most part I was not happy with his workmanship, attitude and lack of people skills. I found him to be very unpleasant to deal with, he was always miserable, and he never smiled and acted as if he was doing me a favour. For the past four to five years I had given him thousands of dollars worth of work. However

I had an acrylic canvas painting stretched here, the frame was very well done, very quickly and good quality material used. He ended up charging me less than what he quoted because the job was smaller than he expected. Very good ethics!!
Michael and his wife were also very helpful in working out a time with my friend to pick it up for me because I live quite far away.

I was searching for a place to frame my University degrees and Mermaid Picture Framing was not only the most competitively priced, but Michael had such a good range of framing options. The end result was a frame that perfectly matched other framed artwork in my office. Extremely happy!
