Printing

You can come in personally with your document on a USB drive, ready for printing and binding, or you can also use our online booking service to submit your thesis. Using this service records all of your printing details and forwards them to us via a simple format, eliminating the possibility of forgetting important information.
Soft Bound Books

The options available with our soft bound books include a choice of front cover colour, back cover colour and spine colour. See the below palettes for the colour options available. Contact us for more for any questions, or for more information. All of our books hand-made using the same traditional methods we have used for nearly fifty years.
Book Repair

We can also recover dilapidated hard cover books. Period binding and restoration of old books can be costly, however since we use acid-free board, materials and adhesive, all of our books have a minimum shelf life of 300 years. Allbook Bindery can re-bind and re-cover both soft and hard cover books into a hard cover with gold or silver embossing of the title and author on the spine and cover.
Thesis Preparation Tips

Margins - Please leave a margin of approximately 35 - 40mm (3.5 - 4cm) on the binding (spine) side of the book. If your document is double-sided you need to adjust your margins to be mirrored and also check the position of page numbers and header/footer content. Thickness - 400 pages of 80gsm or 40mm (4cm) in thickness make the ideal thickness in a hard covered book.
