As a result of increasing complexity and co-morbidity in an ageing population, the Primary Health Care system has changed from a reliance on the solo-GP to the team-based, Patient-centred Medical Home. The clinical staff are proficient at providing comprehensive high quality care for people with asthma. There is a dedicated asthma clinic where our nursing team at Emerald Medical Centre can perform spirometry tests, allowing us to ensure optimal control of your asthma medications being used. We can develop asthma action plans, and teach patients and families emergency asthma management.

Emerald Medical Centre is accredited against standards set by Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). These standards have been written by professional people who are just like your doctor. AGPAL does not set these standards. Accreditation is a process which acknowledges that our surgery has met these set of standards.
Nurses and Medical Assistants

Our nurses are available every weekday, including Monday & Tuesday evenings as well as alternate Saturday mornings. The duties they perform include, health checks (in the home or at surgery) for patients 75+, 45-49 year olds health checks, care plans, diabetes & asthma education, adult & childhood immunisations, travel immunisations, spirometry, 'quit' counselling, ECGs, wound dressings & pap smear tests.

On entering the medical centre you will be instantly put at ease by our warm & proficient receptionists. The clinic is open and will continue to provide quality health care in the best and safest way possible. Telephone consults are available, and we are requesting that all patients who meet one or more of the above criteria, call the clinic or book online for a telephone consult.

AudioLogic Hearing is an independent audiology and hearing aid clinic offering premium hearing care to adults and children. We offer our clients a wide range of hearing aid brands because we are not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer nor part of a large hearing aid retail chain. Our clients receive a very thorough service from professional, personable and caring staff.
