Owner of Illawarra Tyrepower, Mike Stephenson, is about as local to Illawarra as anyone ever could be. His twin passions for motorsport and business joined together when Mike became the second NSW State Champion in the HQ racing. Supported by his wife, Clare, and recently joined by his son, Brenton, Mike strengthened Illawarra Tyrepower with his excellent leadership.

Founded in 1977 by a group of 10 independent Australian tyre retailers, Tyrepower was established to offer consumers the benefits of an independent dealer network. The benefits of flexibility, cost savings, and big buying power are still as relevant to our customers today as they were all those years ago.
