Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium has been part of the Coffs Harbour community since 1984. If you have always wanted to learn to play an instrument, sing, record or even write music then THE CON has a program to suit you! We offer individual and group lessons, ensembles, music programs for schools, professional development for teachers, and offer performances by our students, teachers and acclaimed musicians from across Australia and beyond.
The Con is everything to my family who participate in weekly lessons, orchestra and special programs, and attend regular performances. My son, an aspiring professional musician, is supported by highly talented teachers and mentors who guide and encourage him to follow his passion. There are many opportunities available to develop high level musical skills and confidence, as well as participate in a range of performance opportunities if desired.

The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is affectionately known locally as the "Coffs Con" or just "the Con". The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium's vision is to be an inspiring and creative hub for excellence in performing arts. Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of the Coffs Coast communities, through the provision of quality music education, opportunities and experiences, accessible to all.
Lessons

One-on-one music lessons are at the heart of learning music at Coffs Con, for children and adults. Teaching is tailored to our students' musical experience level, as well as their learning style, and is delivered by our highly trained and experienced music tutors. Music lessons are usually taken weekly and are available in a wide range of instruments and voice.
Ensembles

The Coffs Con Ensemble Program offers a unique learning experience for all ages and abilities. Students from across the Coast come together weekly to rehearse and learn, creating a fun, supportive and professional learning environment. We encourage all students to join an ensemble, directed by our highly qualified tutors and enjoy the experience of sharing a stage with friends and learning the joys of music.

The Conservatorium provides instrumental tuition to hundreds of students in our purpose built education facility and through multiple school-based music programs. We present a concert series and workshops providing unparalleled cultural enrichment to the entire Mid North Coast area. With generous help from our community in the form of donations, sponsorships and grants, the Con has gone from a small rented cottage to a permanent home!
