Osteopaths pride themselves on their hands-on approach to the human body and our treatment methods can be a beneficicial form of complementary medicine. Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of muscular & joint conditions. These conditions may cause muscular dysfunction. You would recognise this by pain affecting movement and mobility in your everyday activies or specific exercise you may do.
Dry Needling is a treatment technique whereby a sterile, single-use, fine filament needle (acupuncture needle) is inserted into the muscle to assist with decreasing pain and improving function through the release of myofascial trigger points (knots in the muscle).
