Services
Tree Reports
Our AQF Level 5 Arborists conduct comprehensive tree assessments to evaluate health, structural integrity, and compliance requirements. We provide detailed documentation for council submissions, property transactions, and risk management purposes. Our reports follow AS 4970-2009 standards and include actionable recommendations for tree retention or removal.
Development Application Reports
We prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Preliminary Assessments to support development applications. Our reports identify tree protection zones, structural root zones, and mitigation strategies that align with council regulations. Early-stage assessments help architects and developers integrate vegetation into site plans while avoiding costly delays during the approval process.
Tree Risk Assessments
Using TRAQ and QTRA methodologies, we evaluate structural defects, root stability, and environmental stress factors to determine tree safety risks. Our assessments consider targets within failure zones and provide proportionate mitigation strategies. Services include post-storm evaluations, pre-sale inspections, and ongoing monitoring for high-risk specimens.
Tree Surveys
We conduct large-scale tree audits and species identification surveys for parks, commercial properties, and civil developments. Our assessments document canopy health, pest infestations, and disease symptoms while providing tailored treatment plans. Surveys help landowners maintain tree vitality and comply with vegetation management obligations.
Expert Witness Services
Our certified arborists provide expert testimony and written reports for tree-related legal matters. We assist with neighbour disputes under NSW Tree Disputes Act 2006, coronial investigations, and insurance claims. Our evidence-based approach combines technical expertise with clear communication for court proceedings and mediation processes.

We had a stand of 50m high trees which we had inappropriately planted far too close to our house and now endangered it. The site was difficult with the house, shed, fences and power pole all a problem.
Alex was punctual, listened, and quoted. The team arrived on the arranged day and did a magnificent job. The tree climber cut and lowered the more endangering branches to the ground. No damage to surrounding gardens or structures! Clean up immaculate. We could not be more happy with Alex and his fine team.

As a Professional Gardener and Arborist who manages many large gardens I would highly recommend Byron Bay Tree Services. From the initial contact to the clean up, the teams professionalism, work ethic and teamwork was exceptional. Recently the team was on my site all day for substantial tree works. They went about their work in a methodical manner whilst taking care of the extensive gardens surrounding multiple work zones. Thank you BBTS for a great experience.

Fantastic service, reliable, environmentally aware and friendly guys. I hate removing trees and find it difficult to even cut them back but sometimes it has to be done. The guys from Byron Bay Tree Services did exactly what was needed professionally and efficiently. The guys were very friendly and checked with me if they weren't sure of something. The price was so affordable, amazing really considering how much they did. They cleaned up afterwards, had the chipper for all the green waste, showed up to do the work when they said they would and then were done remarkably quickly. I've used other tree
