Trusted Child Care & Early Learning Centre in Perth
At Blue Gum Early Learning & Child Care Centre, we are proud to be a community-based, non-profit organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for children aged 0-5 years. Established to prioritise child development over profit, we reinvest all proceeds into resources, facilities, and staff development to maintain the highest standards of care. Our team of qualified educators fosters secure, nurturing environments across five age-specific learning rooms and three outdoor spaces, tailored to meet each child's developmental needs. We focus on building strong relationships with families, recognising parents as a child's first educators, and celebrating cultural diversity.

Our curriculum aligns with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework, promoting physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth through play-based learning. We exceed regulatory staff ratios to ensure consistency and high-quality interactions, while our Sun Smart and immunisation policies prioritise health and safety. By embracing individuality and fostering independence, we create environments where children feel confident to explore, learn, and thrive.

Infant Care
Our Joeys room provides nurturing care for children aged 0-18 months. With a maximum of 8 infants and dedicated educators, we focus on building secure attachments through sensory play and flexible routines. Educators support early developmental milestones while maintaining close family partnerships during this critical transition period.
Toddler Programs
Possums (1-2 years) and Wombats (2-3 years) rooms foster active learning through play. Our programs develop language skills, social interactions, and independence while maintaining a 1:4 staff ratio. Wombats receive toilet training support and engage in hands-on investigations guided by experienced educators.
Preschool Education
Koalas room (3-4 years) offers structured preschool programs led by specialist educators. Our curriculum promotes literacy, numeracy, and creative play while preparing children for formal schooling. Children engage in socio-dramatic play and benefit from intergenerational learning with older peers.
Kindergarten Transition
Kangaroos room (4-5 years) supports part-time school attendees with play-based learning aligned to national standards. Qualified teachers deliver individualised programs covering all developmental domains, fostering friendships and peer support through intentional teaching strategies.
Health & Safety
We maintain strict health protocols including mandatory immunisation records, exclusion policies for unwell children, and Cancer Council-endorsed sun protection measures. Educators model safe practices with SPF50+ sunscreen application, protective clothing requirements, and shaded play areas.
