We fell in love with the craft, cutting our teeth on VHS as kids at the end of the 90's and early 2000's. Although our films (and audience) have changed greatly since those days we still have the same goals on every production - to push ourselves to make the best work we can and to put our audience first.

Officially, Alucinor began in 2007 when founders Butler and Piggott were finishing off their double major in Film & Television and Scriptwriting. However, their creative partnership actually kicked off way back in the spring of 1999 making their very first VHS short film, SHOUT.
Back then making "films" consisted of running around with either Dad's camcorder and essentially making up stories as you went along, only to later edit (roughly) by connecting two VCR's together.Not at all an easy way to edit, but that's how it all started and a passion for crafting motion pictures began.

Camera duo Dean Butler and Shane Piggott form the backbone of Alucinors video production team and the crew expands from there, determined by the needs of each shoot. Together we have extensive experience shooting across multiple formats including Arri, RED, Canon and Sony but now primarily shoot on our own Blackmagic Design cinema cameras.

We understand that you probably have a set budget and you'll want to get a range of quotes from different companies. That's a sensible approach. Just be aware that not all video production companies will be able to deliver the same level of quality or value as each other. Some will be able to quote you a very low cost, but the quality of your video may not be what you were hoping.

Alucinor Productions shot my 'Halloween' music video. I am extremely happy with the video and couldn't have had a more positive experience with the team. I was able to express my thoughts and ideas for the video while Dean turned those ideas into a music video. Everything was well-organised and ran smoothly. I was able to have an input into the editing process and view all the shots as well, which was great. Can't recommend Alucinor Productions highly enough :)

Alucinor Productions created four short videos for the Independent Living Centre WA. All turned out to be fantastic and emotive videos which we will be able to use to promote our services for many years to come. From my initial contact with Alucinor I found both Dean and Stephen to be genuinely enthusiastic about our project. They were helpful, attentive and professional. They always kept us in the loop of where things were up to and what the plan forward was, and they always checked in to make sure we were happy with how things were progressing. There were no surprise ‘extra fees’ at the end

It was such a fun experience working with Alucinor Productions!
Right from our very first meeting, Dean listened to all my ideas and got to the essence of what I wanted to achieve... then came back with an amazing music video concept that delivered everything I could have hoped for, on budget and on time.

What an absolute pleasure it was to work with all the guys at Allucinor Productions. They are true professionals in every sense of the word & nothing was too much trouble. They worked with our organisation WA Individualised Services on a project over 6-8 months, and showed enthusiasm and respect for all of the people involved in the filming, they made everyone feel at ease and were patient with all of us!! What a breeze it was working with Alucinor Productions as an actor for a Legal Aid film. Their professional, yet fun approach to film and production made my experience truly enriching. Having worked with Alucinor Productions on a few projects over 2014/2015; Dean and Shane have proved themselves above and beyond in their work. Working with small production companies is always great because you get their personalised touch to everything they do. Shane and Dean are just that. They are professional and passionate in their approach and give their 100% to any job.
They did two full-lenght films and a few short adaptations of the same films with subtitles for all of them. Each time we met for editing, they were always pleasing and welcoming. They took great care in editing the videos
