From a foundation membership of 239, Green Acres Golf Club has grown to embrace over 1400 members. The name "Green Acres" was put forward in 1947 by Mr G.B. Oliver, who conceived the idea of building a golf course on this site. He believed that the bordering Yarra River would enable the course to be kept green.

Green Acres is both a challenging course and a meticulously maintained peaceful sanctuary. Featuring tree-lined, pure couch fairways, bent greens and natural water hazards, the 18-hole course is home to towering gums and abundant wildlife. A short straight downhill Par 4 that is reachable for very long hitters.
