Clear Aligners, such as Invisalign & 3M Clarity Aligners are a series of clear, (virtually invisible) removable trays that straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. You wear each set of clear aligners for one to two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink and clean your teeth.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist has prescribed.You'll visit your orthodontist about once every six to eight weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Braces

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding coloured elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colourful smile.

Retainers, as the name implies, retain (or hold) the teeth in their corrected positions. There are several types of retainers commonly divided into removable (clear plastic tray) or fixed (wire glued behind the front teeth). The orthodontist will decide which retainer type is most suitable for each patient.
Appliances

A removable appliance is commonly used for simple tooth/ teeth positioning. Additional orthodontic treatment may be required to further move teeth and their roots into their correct positions. A removable appliance can be highly effective as long as it is worn as instructed. If the removable appliance is not worn as instructed or is removed too often, treatment can take much longer than originally planned with less effective results.
