Gumnut Dance is a leading professional children's dance studio located in Mitchell, Canberra. At our school, we aim to encourage a widespread love of dance through our professional dance classes and welcome children who can't help but feel the rhythm! At the time she was searching for a dance school for her then 3-year-old daughter which was age-appropriate and focused on enjoyment and creativity rather than competitions and exams.

With our non-competitive, safe environment, unique program, experienced teachers and a good deal of fun, your child will thrive! We're very supportive of boys exploring the world of dance. The number of boys in our classes is growing, which is great to see. Our program includes dance activities and exercises that are enjoyed by boys and girls. We aim to be as gender neutral as possible in the themes that we choose and the way we teach.

We chose Gumnut Dance originally for Sophia - she was going to a different dance studio and she found that it was a lot of pressure and a competitive environment. Holiday Programs

Our half-day programs are action-packed, with lots of dancing, games and craft activities. We love our littlest kids which is why we have separate programs for preschool kids with age appropriate content to keep them engaged! We entertain your child for a full-day, ensuring they have lots of fun but also time to chill-out.
