Brian McNevin founded McNevin's in the 1970s, starting with Motel Cessnock. A former Army Brigadier, he had a passion for interior design and hospitality, driving the company's growth until his passing in the late 1990s.
Peter McNevin

Peter McNevin, son of Brian and Jean, leads the family business since the late 1990s. With architectural expertise, he has expanded and modernized the motels while maintaining his parents' commitment to quality and service.

Room smelled nice upon entry. Very nice reception staff. Well kept outside areas. Air conditioner didnt work, or we just couldnt figure out how to make it go. Big black cockroach ran from the bathroom.

Owners are lovely and extremely accommodating. All staff have such a positive attitude and are very friendly. Food is amazing. Some of the best hotel food I have ever eaten. The rooms are generous and well kept.

Nice motel. Big pool with hot spa. Big rooms with spas in them too. Motel spread out with plenty of room and parking. Has a restaurant

The lady on the phone was lovely and accommodated our late check in request which was great. Sadly though our room had horribly stained carpet, faulty bedside lamp, very tiny room, extremely loud highway noise, hard uncomfortable bed, mould in the shower, batteries kept falling out of the remote control. We have stayed at McNevins in Tamworth and the rooms are so nice and the Managers are wonderful. I was hoping this would be the same but sadly it is a long way short. We would have had a much better room at the same rate if we booked through booking.com but we thought booking direct was better

We cannot thank enough to the owner who upgraded our room at no additional cost to a queen superior. Not only that, we were able to extend our stay as NZ paused travel bubble, we were given a further discount and were able to keep the same room. Very understanding and compassionate owner who was proud to have us kiwi refugees in his motel. Highly recommend this place, very comfortable and great atmosphere.
