The term Root Canal Treatment is associated with pain to many people and we see that reaction a lot when we mention the same! If that's the case, rest assured it's not as bad as it sounds especially with today's technology. It just requires couple of visits. Usually wisdom teeth arise without any problem in many people, in some cases there is less space for their growth, in which case they are called impacted wisdom teeth. Using prescribed antibiotics brings about temporary relief from symptoms of pain.

This however doesn't mean the symptoms won't come back and there are high chances of it coming back with more severity and so we don't routinely advise antibiotic treatment alone unless it's necessary.Deep cleaning under the overgrown gums combined with antibiotics also works sometimes but no guarantees of the infection not coming back as the ''pocket'' space remains which is always prone to have the same infection.

Brushing and flossing is a great way to keep your teeth and gums healthy, but not all of the build-up on your teeth can be removed this way which overtime will get hardened to form tartar (calculus). This can only be removed by the dental practitioner at a dental practice. By de-scaling your teeth around the gums, we are able to combat the early stages of gingivitis and periodontal disease.

Bad Breath also known as Halitosis can have many causes; therefore it's important to identify the cause so you can determine an effective treatment. What you eat, or don't eat- Garlic, onions, coffee etc. The odors generally remain until the body processes the food, so unfortunately there's no quick fix.
