Ulverstone Veterinary Clinic
The veterinary team have an impressive combined experience of over 40 years of practice in the community. James has worked in rural mixed practice since 1995. After qualifying from Cambridge University in the UK, he worked in Yorkshire for 3 years. He then came to northwest Tasmania in 1999 and, apart from a short time in the Highlands of Scotland to be near family, James has worked here ever since.

James is experienced in all aspects of the veterinary health care we provide at Ulverstone Veterinary Clinic. He is closely involved with our small animal medical cases and undertakes many of the more complex surgeries that we perform. James is also experienced with the health issues facing horses, dairy cattle, beef cattle and other livestock in our area.
Services
Kitten Care
Report
The cat is a fantastic pet that brings enjoyment and companionship to families and individuals worldwide. For the love and care you provide they will give you unconditional love and affection in return. Don't take on this role as a kitten carer without thinking of all your responsibilities for providing shelter and warmth, a safe environment as well as feeding and preventative health considerations.
Puppy Care
Report
Caring for a puppy that has only recently been removed from mum and the littermates is mostly a warm and enjoyable experience. Your new companion or new member to your family will have some major hurdles to overcome, and so will you. Hopefully you will have done some thinking to make sure that your chosen puppy is appropriate to your circumstances in size, temperament and maintenance requirements.
Rabbit Care
Report
Rabbits are increasingly popular as domestic pets. They are particularly favoured by young families, but many adults also find them to be wonderful companions. Some people have them as pets entirely inside the home. Others have them caged outside at ground level, above ground or in specially adapted enclosures or sheds.
Aged Pet Care
Report
30 years ago it was the expectation that our canine and feline companions would live to 12 or 13 years of age and it was uncommon for life beyond this. Today it is reasonable to expect them to live up to several years longer than this. Humans in the western world in the same time frame have also had significant improvement in life expectancy.
