The Royal Hotel is a family run business. Pete and Kate have grown up working in hospitality and pubs. Kate had an early introduction to the hospitality business - She was brought up and worked in her family's pub, The Lord Dudley in Paddington, Sydney. Pete started out working in a pub in Balmain as a cellar man taking the deliveries and later moved on to work for another pub and became the licensee.
