Our company is a 100% Australian family owned business which is locally owned and operated by Jim and Janet Mueller. Both have grown up and have lived in the Nepean Valley their whole lives and are passionate about their local area and community. In 2014, Jim and Janet decided to open their own business, Nepean Valley Funerals.
Meet the Team

Jim has grown up in the Funeral Industry having had family in it from a young age. Jim is well respected for his caring and compassionate nature as well as knowledge and drive for excellence. He is extremely passionate, as this is his family business and it was created to be able to assist families in their toughest times ensuring they are given all the correct advice and guidance with honesty and compassion.
The First 24 hours

What needs to happen will depend on whether the death was expected and where the person passed away. Below is some information to assist. As many Aged Care facilities do not have a holding facility, the staff will ask you which Funeral Director you would like your loved one to be transferred to. Often the Aged Care facility will have already spoken to you and have details on file.

Often your loved one may have already expressed a preference towards either being buried or cremated. Some may already have a burial plot or cremation niche. Other families will need to make the decision for their loved ones and we are here to help discuss through the costs and options. For a Non-Religious service using a Civil Celebrant, there are many options such as Memorial Park Chapels such as Pinegrove Memorial Park.
Pre-Arranged Funerals

To avoid the stress placed on your family at an emotional time, you may wish to consider making decisions in advance. We offer both pre-paid and pre-arranged funerals. When you choose a pre-paid funeral, it helps relieve the financial burden from your family and ensures your wishes are met. With our pre-paid funerals, you can choose between regular deposits from as little as $50 a month or you can make a lump sum payment up-front.
