Len Russell Funerals was established in 1979 by Len Russell together with his wife Pam Russell. Proudly, Len Russell Funeral Director is currently Ipswich's longest serving family owned funeral firm, with many other long established family firms being sold. Funerals are personal, each person is different and therefore so can their funeral.
Len Russell Funerals is here to help you in your time of need. If you have any questions please feel free to call us for guidance, help or any information that you think we may able to help you with. It is often good to be prepared and not to leave a burden for those who follow you, and today many people are preparing for the inevitable by pre-planning and pre-paying for the funeral.

Our History
Report
Len Russell Funerals was established in 1979 by Len Russell together with his wife Pam Russell. It was his goal/dream to see a locally owned family funeral firm established in Ipswich. To this end, his dream has now been established for many years. The business is now a 2nd generation family business and is owned and operated by Darren Degen and Bradley Degen, Pam's sons, lifetime residents of Ipswich.
Services
Report
Family preference and tradition often help in this choice, together with knowing the wishes of your loved one. You may wish to have a service at a church followed by a cortege to the cemetery or crematorium where the final committal is held. Alternatively, you may choose to have the complete service at the church, crematorium chapel or the graveside.
When a Death Occurs
Report
A certificate to certify the cause of death must be signed by a doctor or coroner. The family doctor will normally be able to sign the certificate providing he has treated the person during the previous months for a condition that may have caused their death. If the family doctor is unable to sign the certificate, then the coroner will be notified.
