Geoff Lyons is a doctor of clinical psychology, a registered clinical psychologist, hypnotherapist, and researcher. Geoff is a very unique psychologist because he comes to psychology with a background in complementary therapies. His studies include many topics outside of traditional psychology, including the use of spirituality, energy medicine, sound healing, shamanic healing, hypnotherapy, yoga, meditation and relaxation for wellbeing.

The current Medicare rebate for a consultation with a clinical psychologist is $128.40 per session. Medicare provides rebates for psychological sessions. To receive Medicare rebates you must see your GP to discuss your mental health concerns before your psychology session. Your GP will provide you with a referral to a psychologist and a Mental Health Care Plan.

Mindfulness & Yoga classes are great for stress relief and learning to calm the mind and body. Geoff Lyons is not endorsing energy medicine as an alternate to empirically-supported psychological treatment.

In NSW psychological services may be accessed under the Workers Compensation Scheme (Workcover) when a person has experienced a physical or psychological injury during the course of their work. Only approved psychologists can provide psychology sessions under Workcover. Geoff Lyons is registered with SIRA to provide psychological services under Workcover.
