The Otter Fencing name has been built on a great tradition of vision, hard work and true entrepreneurial spirit. It all began in the early 1950's when John Otter - Jack as he was known - was employed as a Fencing sub-contractor on Housing Commission estates in Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
Hammering away each day, Jack dreamt of expanding and developing his own manufacturing business, supplying fencing materials and gates to the broader industry.Jack began investigating opportunities for manufacturing and in 1959 he formally incorporated Otter Fencing.

Chain-link Fabric, which is also known as; Chainwire, Chainmesh, Chainwire Mesh or Cyclone Fence Wire is the ideal fencing material for providing a practical and economical fencing solution to suit a wide range of applications, customer types and site locations. Otter Fencing has the latest automated German machinery to manufacture Chain-Link Fabric for the fencing industry in a variety of heights, wire diameters and coating types.

The list of Galvanized pipe below represents Otter Fencing's available stock range. All pipe diameters and pipe grades listed meet the various requirements of the Australian Standard - Chain-link Fabric Security Fences and Gates (AS 1725.1-2010). All Galvanized & SHS are sold in full lengths.
However, Otter Fencing has a fully equipped engineering workshop, and is able to offer value add processing such as: Cutting, Punching & Cropping, Crimping, Bending, Swaging, Welding, Notching, Specialist Fabrication and Powder Coating, available upon request, to transform the full lengths of Galvanized pipe & SHS into fence and gate posts and gate frames to suit any job.

Otter Fencing has a wide range of fence and gate fittings from both Downee & Vater to suit a variety of applications to purchase. All fittings are stocked in a galvanized finish, unless mentioned, however we do have stock of a range of fittings in a powder coated black finish. Bollards

At Otter Fencing, we have a variety of Timber Bollards for landscape projects, road and pedestrian management and fencing. We manufacture to order only because the range, shape and size of timber bollards is limitless. We do however have a small selection of timber bollards in stock. Below we have samples of some more commonly used bollards, along with different bollard tops, collars and chamfer edges.
