Brook Medical Centre Doctors provide comprehensive General Practice Care, including emergency treatment, Obstetric Care and Surgical Services. Our Doctors also provide Medical, Emergency, Surgical and Obstetric care at Muswellbrook District Hospital 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Appointments

Report

We run an appointment system, but a doctor is rostered on for emergencies every day. We encourage you to book with your regular doctor; and to have a "backup doctor" in case your regular doctor is unavailable. Our registrars can assist with on the day appointments. You can make an appointment with your doctor by telephoning the practice or calling-in personally (after 8.30am from Monday to Friday ).

9 month old child refused medical care due to vaccination status. Told the partners of the practice will not allow any unvaccinated people in the building at all. Directed to other surgeries or the hospital. No duty of care

Husband had small cancer cut out the doctor cut right down knee to ankle, it didn't heal for 4 months stayed a open gash had numerous antibiotics they nurses cut the whole scab off every couple days

5 months ago moved up here and needed to see a doctor and took almost 5 months to book in then I requested a blood test got it done last week called every day to just be told try calling tomorrow after 11am beyond a joke and will never go there again

Well that's the last time I will go to this practice , every time I ring it's booked out , I'm almost out of medication and these girls at reception don't care , they won't even help with obtaining medication.

Waited for 2hrs getting coughed all over, for the emergency doctor who left came back and left again, i was transferred to and from various lists, watched people (who came in after us) come and go for another half hour before we were told we were put back onto another doctor who had a full schedule and might fit us in if he could. Thanks for not seeing my daughter hope the rest of the family hasn't caught what everyone else in the room had. so disgusted

Always have a good experience. Dr Trasi was there the entire length of both my pregnancies and is the best. Sometimes there is a wait but they never rush me out the door to stay on time which is better

Waited over 3 hours for the on-call doctor to show up only to wait for another 2 hours while he aimlessly wandered around the place with a noticeably perplexed look on his face. The nurses and reception staff were just as perplexed both with what he was doing as much as what they were doing. No professionalism, just the blind leading the blind. I would be more livid with the government cutting funds to our health department if I knew the funds weren't going to medical centres that were just as negligent as much as inept as this place. Save your time and money, go elsewhere..

Dr Trasi and the women in the Pathology are fantastic. Amy at front desk reception is not. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and have a terrible cold which I’m hoping is not the flu and she had a complete attitude problem when I came in to wait for the doctor. Amy is rude and I left the doctors in tears because it’s better for me to be lying in bed comfortable than to be treated like rubbish by some front desk reception with a chip on her shoulder about god knows what. I suggest Amy fixes her attitude.
