Pelvic Issues
Report
Pelvic stability can be a issue for many people and can be the root cause of many different pain complaints including (but not limited to); low back pain, buttock pain, coccyx pain, hip pain and/or groin pain. Here at Gungahlin Physiotherapy and Sportscare Centre our physiotherapists use evidence based manual therapy techniques and specific functional lumbo-pelvic retraining to help achieve optimal pelvic stability.
Pregnancy and Post-Natal
Report
Post natally it can be very beneficial to have a check up at 6 -7 weeks although still beneficial in the first year. It is very important that your pelvic floor is activating correctly. Your abdominal muscles would also be assessed and checked for rectus diastasis (abominal seperation).

An appropriate strengthening program can be prescribed to help you regain optimal abdominal strength and lumbo-pelvic stability while ensuring you are protecting your pelvic floor.
