In Australia, tooth decay in kids is on the rise. Many of you will have a child who has had dental problems in the past, or has them right now. Many of you will have a child who, despite your best efforts, will have a dental problem in the future. As Paediatric Dentists, we're qualified to meet the dental needs of all infants, toddlers, children and adolescents.

If your child has problem teeth that need repair, is anxious, sensitive or worried about dental visits, has had an accident to the mouth or teeth, is very young, has additional needs or you simply want an expert to look after your child, then we are the team for you! Our team of Pediatric Dentists and Oral Health Therapists pride ourselves on comprehensive check-ups that help your child along on their journey for healthy teeth and gums.

What We Do
Report
From the 12 month visit right through to 18 years of age, the first visit is critical. We pride ourselves on being sensitive to the various temperaments and developmental stages of children. Going at the child's pace helps us build a great rapport and results in a child who looks forward to their visits.
Paediatric dentistry
Report
What sets our team apart, you may ask? A lot. We've undertaken extra training. We use specialist techniques and equipment. And we diagnose and treat child-specific conditions. Because for us, it's all about the kids - and giving them the special care and support they need. In fact, it's often more efficient to come directly to us - for both specialist care and regular check-ups.
The First Dental Check-up
Report
We are strong supporters of the 12-month check-up and can't emphasise enough just how critical this visit is. If your child is overdue for their first visit, please call our friendly team to book now.

The aim of the first dental check-up is to address any concerns you might have, get some background information about your child's general and dental health in the past, have a look at your child's mouth and then create a plan to optimise your child's dental health. We are conscious of every child being unique in their confidence with new environments and around new people.
Emergency care
Report
Sudden toothache, chipped or broken tooth? The team at Norwest is here for you and your child. And there's no need to get a referral first. We'll diagnose and treat the issue immediately - while giving your child the special care they need. We also have access to a range of safe pain management techniques and can even organise a day-stay with general anaesthesia if required.
Specialist care
Report
As paediatric specialists, we're well placed to diagnose and treat a wide range dental conditions in children. We also have the training and skillset to treat very young children and children with additional needs. Many parents worry that their baby or toddler is not old enough to see a dentist and will not want us to look at their teeth.
