Doug has extensive knowledge and experience within the Electrical Industry which is reflected in each project he works on and the staff he mentors.
Doug is a passionate advocate for clients expectations which is implemented within the business to ensure Whelan is delivering exactly what is required. On completion of his Apprenticeship in 1995, he completed a CAD Drafting Course and Supervisors Safework College of Worksplace Health and Safety.

Whelan Electrical Services was established in 1972 by the Whelan family. We have firmly established and integrated ourselves within South East Queensland and have been a part of the infancy of the infrastructural development within our State.

After winning the 2019 Master Electricians Australia State Excellence Award earlier this year for our works on the Newport Navigational Boat Lock, Whelan Electrical Services was extremely proud to be nominated as a Finalist for the 2019 National Excellence Award -. We have just commissioned the Variable Speed Drives for the "Tsunami", the second stage of the water park at Victoria's largest theme park - Adventure Park.

Installation of Power Factor Correction Units at various large Unitywater Pump Stations to bring about power cost savings. Whelan Electrical have supplied and installed the pump control switchboard, pumps and pipeworks for the Caloundra Landfill Leachate Transfer Pump Station. Whelan's were contracted in a major upgrade of pump station NVL010 Juron Street, Noosaville.
