Care plans are provided to you by your doctor and usually include a referral to an allied health professional for a specified number of consultations. These consultations are funded by Medicare as part to the Federal government's mental health initiative. Under this initiative, psychologists use "Focussed Psychological Strategies" such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and others to help their clients.
Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy used to generate change in a patient. There are several types of hypnosis, at Altogether Psychology Services our resident Hypnotherapist Neil Mellor uses the Ericksonian method. Differing from other forms, Ericksonian hypnotherapy uses indirect suggestion and also storytelling to alter a patients behaviour.
Group Therapy

Group Therapy offers a supportive and inclusive environment in which to deal with issues and concerns in a safe space with like-minded individuals. Sharing fears and issues together often helps to combat feelings of isolation and loneliness. Group Therapy is a positive way to build relationships and a support network to help with processing issues.
