Services
About Us
Report
Heritage Veterinary Clinic provides medical and surgery services for your small animal companions. The majority of our patients we see are cats and dogs. However, we are happy to provide services for other smaller pet companions including birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, rats and ferrets. We offer a range of services which can be viewed here.
Clinic Policy
Report
All care must be paid for at the time of consultation, admission or at discharge of your pet. We do not offer credit. When visiting our clinic dogs must be on a lead or secure carrier, and cats and small animals in a secure pet carrier. If you have a consultation please read all the consultation record notes you are given.
Health Examinations
Report
Regular check-ups and physical examinations are important in keeping your pet happy and healthy. Even though your pet may not appear to be sick or unwell, a thorough physical examination and medical history can detect early problems which can be addressed promptly. Having regular check-ups also allows our vets to monitor any changes that may occur over the life of your pet.
Microchipping
Report
Councils will also have the power to require compulsory microchipping of all cats and dogs housed in their municipality. Any cat or dog from all Domestic Animal Businesses (pet shops, pounds, shelters and commercial breeders with more than 10 breeding animals) must have a microchip implanted prior to sale.
Puppy School
Report
We help you to understand your puppy's behaviour and give you the ability to train your puppy to perform simple commands such as sit, lay down, come, heel and give you tips on how to deter naughty habits such as chewing objects, pulling on the lead or constant barking. We also cover general information on proper feeding and health issues such as vaccinations, worming and flea control.
