Physiotherapy is the treatment of pain and dysfunction by physical means. Treatment includes manual (hands-on) therapy, exercise (including hydrotherapy) and electrotherapy. A doctor's referral is not needed but should your doctor refer you, the Ipswich Physiotherapy Centre may consult them regarding your condition.

Better Start & Exercise Physiology

Two of our therapists Julia Beck and Mary Smith are registered providers for the better start initiative providing early intervention for children with disabilities. Children aged under six years who have been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fragile x Syndrome or a moderate or greater Vision or Hearing Impairment are eligible to receive support under the better start initiative.
Actively Ageing

The Actively Ageing Program is a FOUR (4) WEEK TRAINING COURSE where participants, usually over the age of 50, are TAUGHT HOW TO EXERCISE SAFELY. The course is conducted by the Physiotherapist, in a small class situation (6-8 max) with active (according to ability and health issues) and safe participation.
